ABOUT OUR DIVINE DISPOSITION
THIS IS OUR STORY:
Navigating the Noodly Path
At Our Divine Disposition, we invite you to embark on a journey guided by the divine touch of the Highest Reverend, the visionary founder of our faith. Inspired by the whimsical wisdom found within the Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, we have evolved from our earlier incarnation into the faith of Al Dente Pastafari, firmly grounded in the principles of Universalist Pastafarianism.
The Divine Touch of the Highest Reverend:
Our story begins with the Highest Reverend, a 20th-21st Century German American Monk whose unwavering commitment to reforming theologies and practices led to the birth of our faith. Raised in a bi-religious household, the Highest Reverend’s spiritual journey took him from Lutheranism to agnosticism and atheism before finding ordination through the Universal Life Church Monastery in 2006. It was during this transformative period that he encountered the Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster and was inspired to develop a unique interpretation, one that reflects the most exacting standards of His Holy Noodlyness.
The Evolution into Al Dente Pastafari:
With the guidance of the Highest Reverend, our collective transitioned from its earlier incarnation into Al Dente Pastafari, a branch of Pastafarianism firmly rooted in Universalism. In the spirit of the Gospel, we embrace the anarchic and divine elements of Pastafarian beliefs. Much like the pirate utopias described in the Gospel, we celebrate individual freedom, reject hierarchical structures, and strive to create a harmonious community guided by the noodly wisdom of the Flying Spaghetti Monster.
VISION
In the tapestry of our existence, we are a thread in the grand design of an underground network. Our vision is a world without borders, masters, greed, or ego. Together, we strive for boundless freedom, compassion, and a shared pursuit of the absurd.
EMPOWERMENT
Together, we set sail on a voyage to seize the reins of our lives, weaving a history that aligns with our beliefs rather than being molded by external forces. Our mission is to empower self-actualization, igniting the spark of change inspired by Al Dente Pastafari and Universalist Pastafarianism.
FELLOWSHIP
In the sacred bonds of our faith, we gather as a fellowship, guided by the divine touch of Al Dente Pastafari. With fervent commitment, we harness our collective energy to bring about positive social evolution. Through acts of devotion, we provide mutual aid, upholding the sacredness of all life and restoring dignity to those in need.
THESE ARE SOME OF OUR BELIEFS:
At Our Divine Disposition, we passionately uphold the core tenets of Al Dente Pastafari:
Skepticism:
Rooted in our quest for enlightenment, we cherish skepticism as a vital aspect of our faith. We encourage critical thinking and the questioning of dogma, believing that it leads us to deeper insights and a more profound connection with the divine.
Freedom:
Embracing individual liberty is fundamental to our faith. We staunchly reject oppressive authority, considering freedom as the cornerstone of personal growth and genuine spiritual expression.
Absurdity:
Life’s inherent absurdity is a wellspring of joy and inspiration for us. We recognize profound meaning in humor, whimsy, and the playful dance of absurdity, as it unveils the richness of our shared existence.
The Sacredness of All Life:
Central to our faith is the recognition of the sacredness of all life forms. From the smallest grain of wheat to any of the majestic animals we care for within this earthly sanctuary, we celebrate the beauty and uniqueness of each being.
Returning Pasta Energies:
We believe that the energy we derive from pasta, whether in the form of a comforting bowl of spaghetti or a nourishing lasagna, carries a sacred essence. This energy should be returned to the world through acts of kindness, compassion, and love, as we nurture ourselves and others.
Embracing Indigenous Cultures:
We honor and respect the rich indigenous heritage of this land, engaging in cultural exchange to build connections and mutual understanding. We offer a space for gatherings and celebrations, bridging communities and pledging to work together to heal historical wounds.
THIS IS OUR MISSION:
Our mission is to educate, inspire, and serve our global community while promoting self-actualization, compassionate existence, and a positive perspective on life and death. We continue to build and maintain archives that reflect our new purpose while preserving elements of our former existence.
As we embark on this transformative journey, we extend our gratitude to those who have supported us along the way. Together, we stand in solidarity with our original purpose and comrades, embracing the seemingly unconventional path that lies ahead.
Join us in celebrating the divine and noodly wisdom of Al Dente Pastafari and Universalist Pastafarianism, where the pursuit of freedom and absurdity takes center stage.
THIS IS OUR HISTORY:
2011
Our revolutionaries first came together to organize and create the Occupy Movement in the likeness of the earlier protest victories of the Arab Spring. While active on the plaza our collective succesfully created community kitchens & practiced direct-democracy in order to showcase alternative forms of communal governance.
Our initiatives were recognized on both a local & global levels. Many of our actions not only disrupted local life – but also that of the capitalist structure – creating a paradigm shift for a better world.
The collective energy we helped create continues to fuel our efforts to this day.
2012
While declaring both solidarity with & autonomy from the Occupy Movement our collective continued to support our local occupations. This year we also helped organized the ‘Occupy The Midwest’ regional gatherings.
This was the year we first manifested online. We originally launched as a community-driven news & opinion website. As we continued to grow our intent began to evolve. Since our first launch we have manifested ourselves in multiple forms, creating the Paper Revolution knowing today.
2013
Our collective members helped organize & promote global action for food justice & to end supply-side corruption.
We also collaborated to establish a movement & the foundations to end political corruption by removing money and representative-based democracies from our communities.
We can accomplish this through the use of technology & innovation.
2014
While we continued to organize and act out to end corruption our collective began to collaborate on projects to restore dignity and humanity for all people.
It was during this year that we released our initial plans to create a collective Sanctuary for Humanity. We also held workshops to help inspire and enlighten individuals to be the change they wished to see in the world.
2015
Our collective continued to promote initiatives to establish a freer & more just society while supporting our continued past projects. We also worked to build up our collective to include leaders, dignitaries, & activists on a global level.
Our technological junkies worked to create website which will help create mutual-aid based support for our current & future projects. Our website was introduced to the public through a limited beta-trial.
We now plan to continue to expand our efforts through the continued development and full public release of our website.
2016
This year we partnered up with the Sweet Om Community Kitchen this year to create an action-packed year for our collective – not only were we able to collectively feed and hydrate thousands of people because of this partnership, but we were also able to expand our solidarity to help support some other causes.
With the Sweet Om Community Kitchen we were able to visit Sacred Stone Camp to cook a few meals with community elders in solidarity of their efforts to stop the Dakota Access Pipeline. We then took part in the Up To Us Caravan to the Democratic National Convention and helped to continue to spread the word about those fighting against the black snake in Standing Rock. We then later helped transport and distribute supplies back to Sacred Stone Camp.
We continued to curate and distribute resources through our collective website.
2017
This year we joined forces to support the Red Nose Revolution.
Over the last few years the Red Nose Revolution has raised over $20,000.00 for Dr. Patch Adams and the Gesundheit! Institute in support of their various projects and humanitarian clowning efforts. Dr. Adams and the Red Nose Revolution have also worked to support and organize various other humanitarian clowning projects which have brought joy and helped restore humanity to communities through humanitarian clowning practices all across the world.
As always – we continue to curate and distribute resources through our collective website.
