ABOUT THE COLLECTIVE
WHO WE ARE
The momentum of modern radical politics and innovative thought established the Paper Revolution collective early in 2012. We emerged from the streets and public plazas during the Occupy Wall Street movement and our decentralized network of individuals now work to educate communities and promote conscious initiatives to preserve and restore both humanity and our earth.
Paper Revolution is a decentralized collective composing of various cells which act independently in pursuit of a freer and more joyous world. Together, we help coordinate and organize events around the planet to inspire change.
The individuals behind our collective strive to not only help reshape the communities that we are a part of – but we also come together online as a part of the global community. We plan actions and events to help further local initiatives for the betterment of our society.
Our revolutionaries educate communities and promote initiatives that restore humanity, health, and human dignity into our world while exposing and eliminating corruption through the teachings of self-actualization.
HISTORY
2011
Our revolutionaries first came together to organize and create the Occupy Movement in the likeness of the earlier protest victories of the Arab Spring. While active on the plaza our collective succesfully created community kitchens & practiced direct-democracy in order to showcase alternative forms of communal governance.
Our initiatives were recognized on both a local & global levels. Many of our actions not only disrupted local life – but also that of the capitalist structure – creating a paradigm shift for a better world.
The collective energy we helped create continues to fuel our efforts to this day.
2012
While declaring both solidarity with & autonomy from the Occupy Movement our collective continued to support our local occupations. This year we also helped organized the ‘Occupy The Midwest’ regional gatherings.
This was the year we first manifested online. We originally launched as a community-driven news & opinion website. As we continued to grow our intent began to evolve. Since our first launch we have manifested ourselves in multiple forms, creating the Paper Revolution knowing today.
2013
Our collective members helped organize & promote global action for food justice & to end supply-side corruption.
We also collaborated to establish a movement & the foundations to end political corruption by removing money and representative-based democracies from our communities.
We can accomplish this through the use of technology & innovation.
2014
While we continued to organize and act out to end corruption our collective began to collaborate on projects to restore dignity and humanity for all people.
It was during this year that we released our initial plans to create a collective Sanctuary for Humanity. We also held workshops to help inspire and enlighten individuals to be the change they wished to see in the world.
2015
Our collective continued to promote initiatives to establish a freer & more just society while supporting our continued past projects. We also worked to build up our collective to include leaders, dignitaries, & activists on a global level.
Our technological junkies worked to create website which will help create mutual-aid based support for our current & future projects. Our website was introduced to the public through a limited beta-trial.
We now plan to continue to expand our efforts through the continued development and full public release of our website.
2016
This year we partnered up with the Sweet Om Community Kitchen this year to create an action-packed year for our collective – not only were we able to collectively feed and hydrate thousands of people because of this partnership, but we were also able to expand our solidarity to help support some other causes.
With the Sweet Om Community Kitchen we were able to visit Sacred Stone Camp to cook a few meals with community elders in solidarity of their efforts to stop the Dakota Access Pipeline. We then took part in the Up To Us Caravan to the Democratic National Convention and helped to continue to spread the word about those fighting against the black snake in Standing Rock. We then later helped transport and distribute supplies back to Sacred Stone Camp.
We continued to curate and distribute resources through our collective website.
2017
This year we joined forces to support the Red Nose Revolution.
Over the last few years the Red Nose Revolution has raised over $20,000.00 for Dr. Patch Adams and the Gesundheit! Institute in support of their various projects and humanitarian clowning efforts. Dr. Adams and the Red Nose Revolution have also worked to support and organize various other humanitarian clowning projects which have brought joy and helped restore humanity to communities through humanitarian clowning practices all across the world.
As always – we continue to curate and distribute resources through our collective website.
