Democracy Spring Marches on Washington D.C.

We have a profound opportunity this month. Almost 3,000 people have signed up to risk arrest and sit-in to save our democracy.

Democracy Spring is a mass mobilization backed by over 100 organizations, including Paper Revolution, People Over Politics, March Against Corruption, 99Rise, and the United States Student Association. Millions of members from across the movement are coming together to make sure the spring of 2016 is a breakthrough moment for our country — the time we take back our democracy.

Don’t miss this moment. Join the historic sit-ins this April in Washington DC.

Democracy Spring began on April 2nd, starting with a 10-day, 140-mile march from Philadelphia to Washington DC. When our marchers arrive at the Capitol on April 11th, they’ll be joined by thousands of their fellow citizens to sit-in in for at least a week in a disciplined, dignified, and massive nonviolent protest that will shake the foundations of the corrupt status quo.

Our demand to Congress is simple: take immediate action to end the corruption of big money in politics and ensure free and fair elections for all people as equal citizens or send thousands of patriotic Americans to jail simply for demanding an equal voice.

The time is now. Sign up to be part of the movement to end corruption and save democracy.

Opportunities like this don’t come around often. With the American public and the national media focusing on the elections and the issue of our broken political system being raised up like never before, the time for bold collective action has come. Democracy Spring will be the spark that lights the conscience of our country on fire, unleashing unstoppable momentum to push through watershed reforms that are not yet possible, but which virtually all Americans — across party lines — support: universal voting rights, publicly funded elections, and an end to Citizens United.

Our chance is here. We just need to reach out and seize it.

Join Mark Ruffalo, Gaby Hoffman, Lawrence Lessig, Zephyr Teachout, Cenk Uygur, Frances Moore Lappé, Umi Selah, and dozens of other movement leaders as we take mass nonviolent action to reclaim the People’s House and win a democracy that works for everyone.

Together, we are poised to make history.
