Queensland, Australia, November 20: A 37 year old geography teacher has shut down the railway feeding coal into Adani’s Abbott Point coal terminal. This is the third time in a week that Aurizon coal railways in Queensland have been shut down by activists working with Frontline Action on Coal.
“I have no other way to defend myself against companies profiting from global warming”, said Greg Rolles.
PREVIOUS BLOCKADE November 19: 21-year-old Sadie Jones is waiting on top of a halted coal train for Andrew Harding, Aurizon CEO, to ‘join her for a cuppa’. This train is going nowhere, and neither is Sadie, until Aurizon refuse to haul Adani’s coal and commit to no new coal contracts. Watch the action unfold over your morning brew
